About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional Education Officer to join our PR & Marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and educational programs for local schools and community groups. You will act as a key representative of Sea Aquarium Park and play an important role in promoting marine education in a fun, inspiring, and accessible way.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for local education program guests
- Represent Sea Aquarium Park in a professional and commercial manner
- Coordinate and deliver educational programs both on-site and off-site
- Guide and supervise children and groups during educational activities
- Deliver engaging presentations and interactive learning experiences about marine life
- Build and maintain strong relationships with primary schools and local community groups
- Ensure a high standard of guest experience and customer service
- Support PR, marketing, and community outreach initiatives
- Assist other departments and on-site partners when required
- Maintain a safe, positive, and well-organized learning environment
Required Qualifications & Competencies
- Pedagogical background or relevant experience in education
- Proven experience working with (groups of) children
- Strong affinity with marine life and willingness to learn
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Fluent in Papiamentu, Dutch and English
- Customer-focused and service-oriented mindset
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Flexible availability, including weekends
- Willingness to accept additional reasonable duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills
- Education or training in Education, Environmental Education, Biology, Marine Biology, or Tourism
- Teaching certification or relevant educational credential
- First Aid & CPR certification
- Child safeguarding / child protection training
- Experience with lesson planning and curriculum development
- Public speaking or guided tour experience
- Experience in outdoor, experiential, or informal education settings
- Community outreach and school partnership experience
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Ability to support marketing and promotional activities
- Professional, reliable, and team-oriented attitude
- Strong safety awareness and sense of responsibility
- Enthusiastic, patient, and child-centered approach
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse audiences

As the hostess of Dolphin Academy, your friendly demeanor is the first thing our guests sees, and we want you to make it a great lasting impression! As the hostess you need to provide a great customer service for the Front Office, Photoshop and Dolphin Programs.Key responsibilities
The personality of a hostess can vary depending on the context in which she operates, such as the type of establishment she works in (restaurant, hotel, event venue, etc.) and the expectations of her role. However, there are some general traits and characteristics that are often associated with effective hostesses:- Warm and Welcoming: A good hostess is typically warm, friendly, and approachable. She should be able to greet guests with a genuine smile and make them feel welcome and comfortable.
- Polite and Courteous: Hostesses should have excellent manners and be polite and courteous to all guests. They should be able to handle interactions with guests in a professional and respectful manner, even in challenging situations.
- Organized and Efficient: Hostesses often must manage reservations, seating arrangements, and guest inquiries, so being organized and efficient is essential. They need to be able to multitask and prioritize effectively to ensure that guests are attended to promptly.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Clear communication is key for a hostess to convey information to guests and coordinate with other staff members. This includes being able to speak clearly, listen attentively, and convey information accurately.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Hostesses may encounter various issues or complaints from guests, such as long wait times or seating preferences. Being able to handle these situations calmly and find appropriate solutions is important.
- Professional Appearance: Hostesses often represent the establishment they work for, so maintaining a professional appearance is important. This includes being well-groomed and dressing appropriately for the environment.

Skills and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 years working experience as a host/hostess in the hospitality industry
- Work in a fast-paced environment, be organized and task oriented
- Provide exceptional service and a memorable experience to all guests
- A strong team player who supports their team and embraces ownership, accountability, and responsibility for the team’s work
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- Good knowledge of languages such as, Dutch, English and Papiamentu, and Spanish is a pre!
