As a Cruise Employee, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operation and exceptional guest experience within our company. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of guest management, safety procedures, and liaison duties between Dolphin Academy staff, taxi drivers, and the mega pier authorities.Key Responsibilities
Preparing Waivers for Cruise Guests:
Ensure all necessary waivers and documentation are prepared accurately and efficiently for cruise guests participating in Dolphin Academy activities. Maintain records of waivers and ensure compliance with legal and safety requirements.Cruise Guest Check-In:
Facilitate the seamless check-in process for cruise guests, ensuring they receive the necessary information and assistance. Address guest inquiries and concerns during the check-in process with professionalism and courtesy.Dispatch of Cruise Guests:
Coordinate the timely and organized dispatch of cruise guests to Dolphin Academy activities, including dolphin encounters and other scheduled programs. Manage queues and ensure guests are briefed on safety protocols and activity details.Supervising Cruise Guests at Dolphin Academy/Sea Aquarium:
Oversee the activities and interactions of cruise guests participating in Dolphin Academy and Sea Aquarium programs, ensuring adherence to safety guidelines and guest satisfaction. Provide guidance and assistance to guests as needed throughout their Curaçao Sea Aquarium Park experience.Contact Person Between Dolphin Academy/Sea Aquarium and Taxi Drivers:
Serve as the primary point of contact between Dolphin Academy/Sea Aquarium staff and taxi drivers, facilitating the transportation of guests to and from the cruise terminal. Coordinate schedules, relay pertinent information, and address any issues or concerns that may arise during transportation operations.Contact Person on Mega Pier:
Act as the liaison between Dolphin Academy operations and mega pier authorities, maintaining open communication channels and ensuring compliance with port regulations and procedures. Facilitate the efficient flow of guests and staff between the cruise ship and the mega pier, addressing logistical challenges and optimizing operational efficiency.Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, guest services, or cruise line operations preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Good knowledge of languages such as, Dutch, English, Papiamentu, and Spanish is a pre!
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail, particularly in managing paperwork and logistical arrangements.
- Flexibility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures, with a commitment to ensuring the well-being of guests and staff.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications and basic office tools for documentation and communication purposes.

De Operations Manager is een hands-on teamspeler, inspireert, coördineert, controleert en faciliteert het personeel in het accommoderen van een ‘once in a life time ervaring’ aan de gasten, dit in nauwe samenwerking met de Manager Dolphins & Programs, Manager Finance (en General Manager). Naast het leidinggeven aan de dagelijkse werkzaamheden is ook de communicatie naar de verschillende stakeholders een belangrijke taak.
Functie-eisen:
- MBO+/HBO werk- en denkniveau
- Bewezen ervaring in een leidinggevende functie, bij voorkeur in een operationele omgeving
- Uitmuntende management & hospitality skills
- Uitstekende organisatorische vaardigheden en het vermogen om prioriteiten te stellen
- Sterke communicatieve vaardigheden en een teamgerichte benadering
- Analytisch denkvermogen en probleemoplossend vermogen
- Flexibiliteit en aanpassingsvermogen in een dynamische werkomgeving
- Bekendheid met operationele processen en het vermogen om deze te optimaliseren
- Gedrevenheid om continue verbeteringen na te streven
- Goede beheersing van het Nederlands, Engels en Papiaments. Spaans is een pré.
- Leiding geven aan het operationele team en zorgen voor effectieve communicatie en samenwerking
- Ontwikkelen en implementeren van operationele strategieën om de efficiëntie te verbeteren en kosten te verlagen
- Monitoren van operationele prestaties en het identificeren van gebieden voor verbetering
- Zorgen voor naleving van bedrijfsbeleid en regelgeving
